Pop star Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has taken legal action against actress Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of publishing false and damaging statements about him on social media.
According to a letter sent to Ojo by Marley’s lawyer, the alleged defamatory content was posted on Ojo’s Instagram account in September 2023. The post reportedly claimed Naira Marley was involved in “spiritual and physical dealings” with the late singer Mohbad, causing him “mental harm.

“Marley, through his lawyer, is seeking a compensation of N500 million (approximately $1.2 million) and a public apology posted on Ojo’s Instagram and in a national newspaper. The letter warns that failure to comply could lead to further legal action.
