Enugu Assembly: LP Lawmaker Hits Ground Running, Inaugurates Strategic Think-tank

The Labour Party (LP) lawmaker representing Enugu South Rural Constituency, Hon. Princess Obiajulu, has inaugurated a think-tank to help her achieve her campaign manifesto.

Hon. Obiajulu, who inaugurated the group tagged ‘Strategic Working Group for Enugu South Rural’ on Wednesday in Enugu, said the think-tank would be handy in her legislative activities.

The lawmaker noted that the members of the group were carefully put together, as she would rely on their rich wealth of experience to enable her succeed in her legislative assignment.

She maintained that the group would be important in spearheading the implementation of her lofty and thoughtful programmes, including training of the constituents on different skill acquisition, which she emphasised would make the beneficiaries self-reliant.

According to her, the inauguration of the group signals that she has hit the ground running, adding that she cannot wait to have a dividend of democracy delivered to the people of Enugu South Rural Constituency.

Hon. Obiajulu reiterated her commitment to make positive and lasting impact on the lives of her constituents, who she said graciously and wholeheartedly entrusted their mandate on her, and promised not to betray the trust.

The lawmaker promised to sponsor bills and motions of urgent importance that would address the plights and challenges of her constituents, once the eighth assembly starts legislative business proper.

Hon. Obiajulu then gave the assurance that her presence would be felt in the State House of Assembly through her contribution to legislative matter and overall development of Enugu state.
