The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) extends its congratulations to Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. The party urges Muslims to seize this opportunity to pray for the triumph of justice and the manifestation of God’s will in the nation’s affairs.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Wednesday, the PDP commends Nigerians for their resilience and encourages them to reinforce their patience, hope, and trust in God, despite the prevailing economic, social, and security challenges confronting the country.
The party emphasizes the importance of not allowing the present hardships and sense of uncertainty to divert attention from the true essence of Eid-el-Kabir. It calls for selflessness, unwavering trust, and submission to the will, authority, and command of Allah in all aspects of life.
The PDP expresses deep concern about the deteriorating economic crisis, the exorbitant rise in the cost of essential goods and services, the decline in citizens’ purchasing power, and the severe economic distress faced by millions of families nationwide.
The party finds it disheartening that during this festive season, countless Nigerians are experiencing frustration as they are unable to afford the basic necessities to celebrate with their loved ones. Many are unable to express their affection by visiting or sharing with family and friends due to the prevailing hardships and insensitive policies implemented by the All Progressives Congress-led government.

The PDP further laments the fact that Nigerians are currently enduring unprecedented economic hardships under the APC-led Federal Government, which consistently imposes policies that exacerbate the suffering of the people without providing verifiable relief plans.
