Students of secondary schools in Bauchi State protested over a policy by the State Government to separate boys from girls in schools.
Schools in the State official resumed yesterday.
The Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Mr Aliyu Tilde, had said that plans have been made to separate male and female students in secondary schools across the State.
The Commissioner in an interaction with journalists in Bauchi stated that the policy would only be implemented whenever and wherever it was feasible.

Tilde said that the rationale was to curtail moral decadence, which he noted has become alarming among secondary school students.
He said private schools would imbibe the initiative and separate males and females in different institutions.
