Jose Peseiro, Super Eagles coach has expressed confidence in the crop of players at his disposal as the team prepares to play against Algeria today.
The Algerian side has not lost in their last three matches against the Nigerian side.
The Desert Foxes will enjoy a home advantage as the match will be played at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium, Oran.
However, Peseiro is optimistic his team is capable of beating them on their home turf.
Peseiro in an interview with NFF TV said, “We trained well, we have been trying to. introduce some new dynamics, some new methods that will be good for our team. The players have adapted well. The players have adapted well both on and off the pitch.
“We are going to play against a good team, it won’t be easy but we have quality. We will fight hard to beat them.”
The Super Eagles will be without the services of some key players. Among the players that will be missing in action are Assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and Wildred Ndidi, both of whom have returned to their clubs.

Captain Ahmed Musa, Leon Balogun, Samuel Chukwueze, and Emmanuel Dennis are doubts after pulling out of the game against Algeria’s Team B side as a result of injury.
Peseiro believes his team still possesses the firepower to win the match.
He added, “We believe in the players that are here, we believe in their abilities. They know what to do and we believe in them.
“I have confidence in them that they will do well. We have enough quality in our team to cope with the absence of those who are not here.”
The game is scheduled for 8pm Nigeria time today.
