Currently a freshman at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where she is pursuing a degree in Guidance and Counselling, Mbajiorgu excelled in all nine subjects she took. Mbajiorgu’s journey to academic excellence was not without its challenges. In 2008, while in her final year of primary school, she lost her sight to glaucoma. This setback required her to adapt to her new condition and learn Braille to continue her education.
Despite these obstacles, Mbajiorgu’s determination and perseverance never wavered. She remained committed to her studies and emerged as a beacon of inspiration for others facing similar challenges.
Mbajiorgu expressed her gratitude to Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for his unwavering support for quality education and his efforts to empower physically challenged individuals.
“Professor Soludo cares for all, and he is well-focused, not just brilliant,” she remarked.
