An Arabic teacher Farouk Adam, popularly known as Sadiq, has denied sexually assaulting his pupils, saying he was framed up by a colleague.
Farouk who is currently standing trial for sexual assault before Justice A . O Soladoye of the Special Offences Court, Ikeja, said he has never attempted such in his life.
The Arabic teacher stated that he had a disagreement with Awawu a fellow teacher, who accused him of sexual assault.
He said that Awawu brought Zarawu (the victim) to him, to be flogged which he obliged. Awawu later accused him of flogging Zarawu and also assaulting her sexually.

During cross-examination the prosecutor, Olasola Soneye presented a statement allegedly made to the police by the accused, who denied signing it.
Amid objections by the defense counsel, Anthony Okonkwo, who insisted Sadiq was unconscious due to the beating he received from the police, the statement was admitted as Exhibit A .
For the adoption of written addresses, the case was adjourned till Nov 14.
