In an interview with Leadership newspaper, Mmesoma’s father refuted the allegations of his daughter falsifying her result and accused the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of attempting to divert the N3 million scholarship she received from Innocent Chukwuma, the chairman of Innoson Motors.

Mr. Ejikeme emphasized that his daughter has consistently displayed exceptional academic abilities and always ranked first in her class. He firmly believes that she is incapable of manipulating her result. He shared their family background, stating that they are from Oduma in Aninri local government in Enugu State but currently reside in Uruagu, Nnewi.

He explained that when Mmesoma transferred from Oba Girls’ Secondary School to Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, her previous teachers from Oba Girls pleaded with him to keep her in their school as she had brought recognition to their institution through her participation in competitions. He also mentioned that her friends were the ones who initially saw her score on the Internet and informed her before she printed it out.

He firmly stood by his daughter, dismissing the accusations against her and asserting that the claims were an attempt to transfer her scholarship to someone else. He stated that they possess the printed copy of Mmesoma’s UTME score as evidence.
