The Lagos State Police Command has issued a declaration to locate Benjamin Nnanyereugo, a suspect in the death of his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion. The 21-year-old lady was allegedly murdered on July 13, 2023, at Nnanyereugo’s residence in Oral Estate, Ajah.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, mentioned that the suspect is being sought after attempts to apprehend him proved unsuccessful.The statement stated, “Following the exhaustion of all available options to bring him in, he is declared wanted. The suspect is 26 years old, approximately 5’9 ft tall, hailing from Abia State. He has a dark complexion and is fluent in English, Igbo, and pidgin English. If seen, please contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727.”

Additionally, the Rapid Response Squad apprehended three suspected fraudsters in the Idumota area. The suspects had held a non-cooperative victim hostage, who alerted the police when she had the chance. The suspects were identified as Austin Okoro, aged 47 and the ring leader, Godwin Asezour, aged 54, and Susan Elohor, aged 42. They had attempted to defraud the victim by introducing her to their alleged money-doubling business. Following the investigation led by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the suspects were charged to court.
