Gunmen Disguised As Security Operatives Kill 12 In Taraba

Armed men disguised as local security operatives have killed 12 people in in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba state.

A resident of the community, Ardo Bello, told reporters that the attackers disguised as local security guards to deceive community members.

“They pretended to be searching for fleeing armed criminals and asked members of the community to come out and help with the search.

But the attackers then opened fire on the crowd killing at least 12 people and stolen dozens of cattle in the north-eastern state of Taraba. .”

The police spokesperson in the state, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, stating that four people have been arrested in connection with the raid.
