Chief Frank Ozue, the Vice Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been kidnapped by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Reports say the LG boss was kidnapped on Sunday at Ogor town in Ugheli North LGA of the State when he was accosted by armed men and taken away.
Ozue was riding alone in his car as he traveled to the Patani area of the State when he was kidnapped.
A family source confirmed the incident to newsmen on Monday, noting that he was waylaid by gunmen
along Iwhre-Ovie/Oviri-Ogor Road off the Ughelli/Evwreni section of the East-West Road.

The source said, “The kidnappers left his car and his belongings including his phones at the scene of the incident. They have not reached out to the family since Sunday. The family is very worried about the state of his health.”
The incident was also confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, saying that efforts were ongoing to trace the kidnappers with a view to freeing the victim.
