Israel Adesanya, former Ultimate Fighting Championship, UFC, middleweight champion, has been arrested in the United State of America for taking brass knuckles through security and John F. Kennedy Airport, New York.
The 33-year-old who was stripped of his title by TKO to Alex Pereira in New York on Saturday was nabbed by Port Authority police in the American Airlines terminal at about 1:57pm EST.
Adesanya’s arrest was confirmed by a Port Authority spokesman to DailyMail noting that he was booked for possessing metal knuckles.

New York law prohibits bringing Brass knuckles on board an airplane as they are considered a crime. It is not clear yet where the UFC fighter allegedly kept the prohibited item.
Adesanya clashed with his longtime rival Pereira on Saturday for the UFC middleweight belt, Pereira knocked out his opponent in the final round of the fight.
However, despite reports that referee Marc Goddard prematurely ended the fight, Canadian fighter, and trainer, Firas Zahabi, says Adesanya should be grateful for the decision.
