Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, and his co-defendant, Victor Aduba, have been convicted and sentenced to 21 years imprisonment, for kidnapping.
The judgement was given by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court in Lagos State on Monday.
Evans and his co-defendant were accused of conniving and kidnapping one Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia on June 23, 2014, Kara Street, Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.
The two convicts were alleged to have kidnapped Hafia and demanded a ransom of $2m.
The judgement marked the second sentence against Evans.
He had been earlier sentenced along with two others to life imprisonment by Justice Hakeem Oshodi for conspiracy and the kidnap of the Managing Director of Maydon Pharmaceuticals Limited, Donatus Dunu.

In delivering the judgement against the trio, Justice Oshodi held that the prosecution had proved the charge successfully against the defendants beyond doubt.
Justice Oshodi said, “He was seen freely laughing and willingly answering questions. A close look at his body shows no sign of torture. He did not look unkempt. He is seen laughing even when he was told that he must be a rich kidnapper,” Justice Oshodi said.
“He showed no remorse in the dock and tried to lie his way out of the crimes despite the video evidence.”
