An Ikeja magistrate court has remanded a 28 year old Arabic teacher, Mohammed Agoni, at the Kirikiri Correctional Center for sodomizing his 11 year-old pupil in Ifako area of Lagos state.
According to the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, the victim who was a boarding student at the school told the mother that he wasn’t going back to the school after the Salah break.
Akeem also said the victim told his mother how the defendant, who was one of his teachers, had been allegedly sexually sodomising him.

Akeem claimed that the offense violated Section 261 of the Lagos State Criminal Laws from 2015.
The defendant’s plea was not accepted by Chief Magistrate B. O. Osunsanmi during the court proceedings.
Osunsabmi mandated that Algoni be held at Kirikiri Correctional Facility pending the Director of Public Prosecution’s legal opinion
The magistrate adjourned the case till September 28, for receipt of the DPP’s advice.
