The police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi made this known in a statement, where he said that the suspect who resides in Okun Owa area of Ijebu Ode was arrested after a report was lodged at Obalende Division of the state command.
Oyeyemi said the girl’s father had discovered she was bleeding from her private part and when he asked, she said Mr Jackson had sex with her.
He added that the Obalende Divisional Police Officer immediately sent detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested.

He said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the old man is a known paedophile in the area.’’
Oyeyemi said the victim had been taken to the General Hospital Ijebu Ode for medical treatment.
He quoted the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, as directing the suspect’s transfer to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for more investigation and possible prosecution.
