At least 25 wedding guests have died after a bus conveying them plunged off a mountain in northern India.
The state top police official, Ashok Kumar, while confirming the incident said that “twenty people have been rescued,” while Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in a tweet on Wednesday, said that “all possible assistance” would be given to the survivors.

“In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families,” he tweeted.
Fatal road accidents are common in Uttarakhand, which encompasses part of the Indian Himalayas and is home to numerous religious pilgrimage sites.
India accounts for 11% of the global road death toll despite only having 1% of the world’s vehicles, according to a World Bank report released last year.
