Minister Wike, highlighting the severity of the crimes, declared a N20m bounty for the capture of Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim, the last members of a notorious kidnapping gang.
Police apprehended 7 members of the gang responsible for abducting 14 individuals in the capital. Some victims included residents of housing estates, a district head, and staff members. Authorities seized N9 million in ransom money, 6 AK-47 rifles, bulletproof vests, and communication equipment during the bust.Additionally, police nabbed 8 “one-chance” robbers who preyed on residents using toy guns and knives.
