The Ebonyi State Police command have launched a manhunt for the killers of a Chinese man in Ebonyi State.
The Chinese man was killed when gunmen attacked a mining site close to Ebonyi State’s border with Benue State on Saturday and opened fire on the workers.
The assailants allegedly neutralised the office officers securing the expatriate.
Issuing an update on the development, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chris Anyanwu, on Monday said, “One of the policemen on duty sustained serious bullet injuries and is still receiving treatment.”

Anyanwu solicited immediate and credible information on the identities and whereabouts of the culprits.
The incident was described as a “national embarrassment” by the Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Steve Emenike.
Emenike said the gunmen rode on motorcycles to the mining site located at Otam Nwogba village in the LGA.
