Controversial singer, Portable, has been arraigned at the magistrate court in Ifo, Ogun State.
The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, in a statement said Portable will face over six charges bordering on alleged assault in court.
Ogun state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told TheCable, “He is in court. There’s nothing to elaborate on. He is in court presently. He has been arraigned.”

Recall that the musician was arrested on Friday after he failed to turn himself in following a 72-hour ultimatum issued to him by the police.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ singer’s controversy started last Tuesday after he had resisted arrest by the Ogun State police.
Portable argued that the arrest was “unwarranted,” noting that he makes his money “legitimately.”

The 29-year-old also referred to himself as “a federal government liability”.
According to Muyiwa Adejobi, the NPF’s public relations officer, portable will be charged with “assault” — apart from “resisting arrest and injuring a police officer”.
Muyiwa in a tweet on Twitter said, “He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Ota, who filed a petition to CP Ogun
“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him. “So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway.”
