The Edo State Police Command’s Decoy Squad has successfully apprehended Meshach Sinuphro, thief who fled with a Mercedes Benz valued at N55 million from a car dealership in the Federal Capital Territory last Wednesday.

According to a tweet by DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Sinuphro was captured in Benin City, Edo State. The tweet stated, “Today, the Command Decoy Squad arrested the suspect, Meshach Sinuphro, who allegedly stole the Benz in Abuja while posing as a potential buyer. He will soon be transferred to the FCT Command. Remember to always report crimes to the police, and we will ensure justice is served.”

Earlier reports from Dailyinfo revealed that a week after Sinuphro absconded with the Mercedes Benz GLB 250 during a test drive in the FCT, the Nigerian Police Force, assigned to investigate the case, located the stolen vehicle in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

In an interview, the owner of the vehicle, Mohammed Manga, expressed his ordeal of how the suspect disappeared with the vehicle during the test drive.
