He stated this in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, after he recounted being offered the sum of N5,000 monthly as a corps member after series of job quest.

“I mean, how do I go to law school, spend such huge amounts of money and straight out of Law School, I’m being offered N5,000 per month as a corper… I remember that before I got that particular one, I had to search for jobs in different chambers; 3 or 4 different Chambers but to no avail. Now, imagine what I would have to go through when I want to get an actual job after service,” he said.

He admitted that he loved Law and performed excellently in it but real-life struggles navigated him towards comedy.

“I love law so much and I excelled at it. But there’s such a struggle between what you do in school, and what obtains in real life, it is so different,” he stated.

He recounted how many questioned his desire to be a comedian after studying Law For over 5 years: “It was such a huge problem when I was in law school, telling people that I wanted to be a comedian. People would always ask why I spent 5 years, including law school, just to end up as a comedian.”

Further, he expressed gratitude and gave due credit to Falz, who’s journey from law to the entertainment industry was an inspiration to him.

“Most times, when you want to do something, it’s always easier when there’s someone who has done that same thing. And I’m like Falz the Bahd Guy also studied Law too. I just want to say, Thank you, boss; that’s one of my greatest inspirations and mentors,” he said.
