Dipo Fasina, a former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and known as ‘Jingo’, has been found at Istanbul Airport in Turkey after being reported missing.
According to reports, Fasina had gone missing for a few days while in transit at Istanbul Airport, during his journey back to Nigeria. However, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced through a tweet on Sunday that Fasina had been located following a search conducted by officials from the Nigerian Embassy in Turkey at the bustling Istanbul Airport.
NiDCOM stated that the scholar would be returning to Nigeria on Monday. The collaborative efforts of the Nigerian High Commission in Turkey were acknowledged and appreciated by NiDCOM for their role in locating Fasina.

In their statement, NiDCOM expressed gratitude, saying, “The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in Turkey, has successfully located Prof. Fasina, who went missing for a few days at Istanbul Airport, while connecting on a flight back home”
