EFCC Arrests 16 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Ilorin

Sixteen people have been detained by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Zonal Command, on suspicion of engaging in cybercrime and possessing fake money.

According to a statement released on Friday by the commission’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, they were detained on Thursday as a result of reliable information that the commission had been working with.

They were found with eight exotic automobiles, phones, and laptops, the statement said.

Suleiman Abduqudrib Salati, Nurudeen Ibrahim, Boluwasefe Oyinloye, Bashir Azeez, Abduquodri Ibrahim, Raji Roqeeb, Tobiloba Raihan, and Busari Mohammed are the suspects, along with two siblings Ahmed and Toheeb Ismail.

More include Adeleke Hassan, Adebayo Bolaji, Bello Muhammed, Onime Bright, Olaoye Kolade, and others.

“The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
