Drama unfolded as Daniel Regha disregarded Toyin Abraham’s request to meet him at an event following his critical review of her movie.
The controversial influencer took aim at the actress, expressing his disapproval.
In a post on her Twitter page, Toyin mentioned her desire to have a face-to-face conversation with Daniel Regha at the Trendd Up Awards. She specifically wanted to discuss his negative review of her film, “Ijakumo,” and sought his input on areas for improvement in her filmmaking.
Toyin wrote:
“My darling @DanielRegha hope to see you today face to face at trendupp awards so you can kindly tell me where you need me to improve in film making🙏🙏
“I saw your tweet on IJAKUMO and I will be happy to see you so you can tell me where and where to work on. Hope to see other lovely influencers aswell today”

Responding to this, Daniel Regha acknowledged hearing about Toyin’s desire to meet him but decided against it out of respect for her status as a movie star.
He criticized the actress for supporting the APC-led government, particularly in light of the events that transpired during the ENDSARS protest at the tollgate in 2020. He further expressed that meeting her would conflict with his personal values.
He wrote:
“Hi @toyin_abraham1, I was repeatedly told u wanted to see me, but I chose to ignore cos while I respect u as an actress, u supporting this govt after the EndSARS protests, goes against everything I stand for. That said, “Ijakumo” movie was poorly written & directed. No offense.”
