A Family Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, has once again extended the remand of Maruf Abdullahi, widely known as Trinity Guy, and the parents of a minor for an additional 52 days until August 31.
They are accused of sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl in the state. Earlier, it was reported that the police had invited Abdullahi, a popular content creator, for his involvement in a video clip that featured the minor.
Alongside the parents of the minor, he was charged with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, stated that Abdullahi had been contacted and summoned to the state police command regarding the disturbing viral content circulating on social media involving a young girl.
During the court session, Magistrate P. O. Adetuyibi ordered that Abdullahi, aged 31, and the child’s parents, Isiaka Ahmed, aged 40, and Rofiat Ahmed, aged 29, remain remanded in Agodi.

The prosecution counsel, Oluwakemi Arowosaye, informed the court that the accused individuals allegedly conspired to commit sexual abuse. Specifically, on December 17, 2022, Trinity Guy was accused of sexually abusing and exploiting the 10-year-old girl in the Kuola area of Ibadan.
The police stated that this act violated the provisions of Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the state Child Rights Law 2006. Additionally, it contravened the provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
