BBNaija star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, better known as Bambam, has slammed renowned American rapper Snoop Dogg for his recent publicity stunt involving quitting smoking.
Last Thursday, Snoop Dogg took to social media to declare his decision to give up smoking marijuana, stating, “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
However, in a recent video shared on social media, Snoop Dogg revealed the true nature of his previous announcement, admitting that it was merely a part of an advertisement. “I have an announcement. I’m givin’ up smoke,” he proclaimed. “I know what you’re thinking: Snoop! Smoke is kind of your whole thing! But I’m done with it.”

Bambam expressed her disapproval of the rapper’s deceptive stunt in the comment section, highlighting the impact it had on those struggling with addiction.”So many addicts were motivated to quit because of your announcement… imagine the heartbreak,” she remarked. “Be gentle with the hearts and minds of those you have influence over. You’re accountable.”
Snoop Dogg’s misleading announcement, while perhaps intended as a lighthearted promotion, caused unnecessary distress among those seeking to overcome their struggles.
