ASUU Responds To FG’s Registration of CONUA, NAMDA

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, remains unflinching despite the registration of two new academic staff trade unions by the federal government on Tuesday.

Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the President of ASUU, while reacting to the development in an interview with Vanguard said the registration of the two unions does not affect ASUU in any way.

He said that ASUU remains committed to achieving its goals and is not distracted by the registration of the unions. The ASUU chief noted that there is enough space for everyone to co-exist.

Osodeke said, “That does not in any way affect us. We are a disciplined and focused union and we know what we are doing and what we are after. Let them register as many unions as they like. The sky is big enough for birds to fly”.
