As of February 28th, 2024, all phone lines that are not linked to their corresponding NINs will be barred from service. This deadline remains in effect. The NCC emphasizes the critical importance of NIN-linked SIM cards for national security reasons. This linkage helps authorities identify and track down individuals involved in criminal activities or suspicious behavior.
