Gunmen has reportedly killed a total of eight security agents, including soldiers, policemen, and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Imo State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area. The joint security taskforce team, traveling in two security trucks, fell victim to an ambush by their assailants. None of them survived as they were trapped inside their operational vehicles, which were set ablaze by the attackers.

According to an unnamed security operative, reinforcement teams have been dispatched to the crime scene with the aim of apprehending the suspects and recovering the bodies of the slain security agents.
A local resident who preferred to remain anonymous due to security concerns stated that he had seen the security agents just moments before the attack.
When contacted, the police spokesperson for the state, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident but requested additional time to provide comprehensive details regarding this tragic event.
