Former Boxer Punches Wife To Coma Over TV Remote In Ondo

Moses Olapade, a 56-year-old former boxer, has allegedly beaten his wife, Tinuke, to coma during an argument over a television remote.

The incident reportedly took place at their residence situated at Oke-Aro community, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

A source who chose to remain anonymous said Olopade returned home from a trip on the fateful day and wanted to watch a programme on the television but the wife refused to hand over the remote for him to tune in to his favourite channel. It resulted in an argument which escalated.

Out of anger, Olopade, who is equally a truck driver reportedly landed punches on the wife which resulted in the wife’s collapse, after which she became unconscious.

The PPRO stated,” I have called the DPO of the Area ( B Division Police Station), but he said the matter was not reported at the police station.”
