Commissioner Donates N150,000 to Ogbomoso Chef

Mr. Oluremi Omowaiye, the immediate past Osun State Commissioner for Works, has contributed N150,000 to support Chef Tope Magi from Ogbomoso, Oyo State, in his quest to achieve 200 cooking hours.

Tope Magi, who has surpassed the world record of 119 hours and 57 minutes set by Irish Chef Alan Fisher, is receiving acclaim for his dedication. Omowaiye praised the support Tope Magi has garnered from students at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and called on Nigerians to rally behind him, aiming to showcase Nigeria’s culinary talent on the global stage.In a statement, Omowaiye expressed admiration for Tope’s resilience, sacrifices, and dedication to breaking the world record. He pledged his support with a token of N150,000 and announced plans to mobilize ex-LAUTECH students to contribute to Tope’s remarkable achievement.

Tope Magi’s target is to reach 200 cooking hours, and Omowaiye encouraged fellow Nigerians to join in supporting him, highlighting the pride Tope has brought to the country on the global culinary map.
