Nduka Ugbade, Golden Eaglets coach has praised his players for their effort despite losing 1-0 to Morocco in their 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations second group match.
The defeat halts the tempo of the Nigerian side that started the tournament well with a win in their first match.
Ugbade watched his side dominate possession but fail to score despite registering 27 shots at goal, but only four of them landed on target.

Speaking after the match, the former World Cup winner with Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets said, “Everything worked absolutely well. We controlled the game but tactically Morocco controlled the outcome. We had a few mistakes as well but we created so many chances, and the only problem is that we couldn’t score.
He added; “it does happen in football. It is not a strange thing, but it is important to correct and ensure we are more efficient in front of goal.”
