Soludo, who made the demand on Saturday during the Campaign kick-off of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Awka, said he was ready to stand surety if the detained IPOB leader could not be released unconditionally.

He promised to cater for Kanu and also offered to bring him to the authorities any time he was required.

According to him:  “I am making a passionate appeal to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally. If he cannot be released unconditionally, i want him released to me and i will stand surety for him.

“We need Nnamdi Kanu in the roundtable conversation to discuss the insecurity in the Southeast. We must end insecurity in the South East and we need Nnamdi Kanu to be around.”

Soludo was elected National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) by the National Executive Committee (NEC) via a voice vote during the Party’s NEC meeting.

The certificate was formally presented to Governor Soludo by the National Chairman of the Party, Ozonkpu Victor Oye in the presence of all NEC members

Receiving the certificate as the new national leader of the party, Soludo described the position as a great pleasure, with a sense of humility and gratitude to God.
