A 30-year-old woman identified as Khadija Ibrahim, and her two daughters have lost their lives in a fire incident in Tsangarwa village, Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State, Adamu Shehu, in a statement, said the incident happened around 11pm on Friday when fire razed a hut while the victims were asleep.
The statement reads;
“The fire engulfed a hut, where the 30-year-old Khadija Ibrahim was sleeping alongside her two daughters, four-year-old Aisha Ibrahim and two-year-old Rabi Ibrahim.”

He explained that both the mother and her two daughters were consumed by the inferno as none of the victims was rescued alive.
Shehu said the cause of the fire was unknown, but neighbours noted that it might not be unconnected with a charcoal fire meant to keep them warm.
The remains of the victims have been deposited at a nearby hospital.
