Mentioning Peter Obi’s Name A Disgrace To Me, He lies Too Much – Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said that he finds it as a disgrace to mention the name of his Labour Party, counterpart, Peter Obi.

Tinubu stated this during a meeting with traditional rulers and stakeholders of the Niger Delta region at the headquarters of Gbaramatu kingdom of Delta State noting that Obi lies with arithmetic.

The APC presidential hopeful also asked Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to quit the race having run unsuccessfully too many times for the position.

Tinubu said “As I stand before you, there are few of us running. One says he is Atiku, how many times has he been running? He is now tired of running. Let’s tell him to go and sit down and quit the race. Enough is enough.”

Tinubu termed Obi, a man that was not desired by citizens because “he lies with arithmetic that no mathematician can solve.”

He added, “To mention his name is a disgrace to me. He gives out wrong arithmetic and wrong statistics on the economy. That is not what Nigerians want. Nigerians need honesty, they need the man who knows the road to take, and that man is me,” Tinubu stated.

Tinubu described himself as a son-in-law of the Niger Delta and appealed for support in the electioneering campaign, promising to carry everyone along, develop the area and renew the hope of the people.

Also speaking at the occasion, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the governorship candidate of the APC in the state, said that Tinubu will construct the road leading to Gbaramatu kingdom if elected as the President.

Omo-Agege promised that the legal framework for the implementation of the Maritime University, Okerenkoko, would be ready for assent by President Muhammadu Buhari before the 2023 general election.
