Henry Gotip, the executive chairman of the Kanke Local Government Council in Plateau State, has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown assailants.
According to a source who requested anonymity gunmen broke into the Executive Chairman’s home on Wednesday morning at Kwang in the Jos South Local Government Council of the state, opened fire, and kidnapped the council leader.

The head of the council in Plateau State doubles as the organization’s secretary.
According to sources, the gunmen took the council leader somewhere unknown about one in the morning. Alabo Alfred, the spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, acknowledged the kidnapping and gave the assurance that police were in control of the situation.
