Mustapha Ussif, Ghana’s Sports Minister, has expressed optimism the country will clinch the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.
The 2022 edition of the World Cup is scheduled to take place between 20th November and 18th December 2022.
The 2022 edition marks the Ghanian team’s fourth appearance at the global football showpiece.
Commenting on the chances of Black Stars, Ussif during the FIFA World Cup Tour press conference in Ghana said the team will take home the trophy.
He said, “Ghana is happy to open the gate for the rest of the African continent.
The four other African countries; Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon and also Tunisia on this tour.

“As a football powerhouse of Africa, Ghana is hopeful and believing that Insha Allah we will see the trophy returning to Ghana in December.
The Black Stars will win the World Cup.”
Recall that the Black Stars are drawn in Group H where they will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
Their best outing at the World Cup was in 2010 in South Africa where they lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the quarter-finals against Uruguay.
