Brendan Rodgers, Leicester City coach, has lauded Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho for his impressive performance in his team’s Fourth Round win against Walsall in the FA Cup.
The English Premier League side beat League 2 team, Walsall 1-0 on Saturday at the Bescot Stadium.
Iheanacho bagged the sole goal of the match in the 68th minute after he was brought on to replace Patson Daka in the 53rd minute.
Rodgers praised Iheanacho’s efforts during the encounter.
He was quoted by Independent to have said, “He came into the game with a real fire in his belly to perform and did really well.
“For a large part of my time here Vardy has been our number one striker, we brought Patson (Daka) in who could replicate that and Kelechi is a fantastic link player for us.
