ADC Debunks Alleged Expulsion Of Presidential Candidate, Others

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has debunked the rumored expulsion of its presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, and seven national stakeholders of the party by former National Chairman, Ralphs Okey Nwosu.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the ADC interim National Chairman, Senator Patricia Akwashiki, in Abuja.

Recall that reports earlier emerged that Kachikwu and other leaders of the party were dismissed over alleged anti-party activities less than 12 days to the commencement of the political campaign ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The report also claimed that dismissed party leaders were found guilty of going against the party’s constitution among other offences by a seven-man disciplinary panel constituted by immediate past National Chairman, Nwosu.

However, the interim leadership of the party led by Akwashiki discarded the action of the former chairman describing it as the antics of a sinking man clutching at straws.

According to Akwashiki, the activities of Nwosu should be disregarded as the party remains united going into the commencement of campaigns.

Akwashiki said, “Nwosu is the former chairman whose tenure has elapsed who now seeks to pull the party down because he failed in his bid to extend his tenure after 17 years as party chairman.

“All expulsions and suspensions from Nwosu and his cabal are merely diversionary and a face-saving measure as he faces investigation for fraud, forgery and impersonation by the Nigeria Police.

“The general public is therefore advised to ignore any statements emanating from Nwosu or any member of the former National Working Committee.
